Direct Zinc oxide, white hexagonal cryφσ stalline or powder. Odorless, non-toxic, and f↕☆λine in texture. Relative density 5 ±.606. Refractive index₹ 2.008-2.029. Melting point 1975℃.
Direct Zinc oxide has←Ω↑♦ a strong fluxing effect in glazes, whi ✘ch can reduce the expansion coefficie∏± ↕nt of the glaze, improve the thermal stabilit∞α<y of the product, and increase •&∞≠the gloss and whiteness of the glaze, πλ"≤enhancing its elasticity. It can ↑₹also increase the brilliance of the glaze color w ≥hile expanding the melting range. Howevλ¥er, it is not suitable for use in black glaπ♥δ zes containing chromium.
